Does Aloha OrderPay require Wi-Fi?

Yes. It operates over Wi-Fi and is designed to work seamlessly across your entire restaurant, including patios and curbside areas.

What types of payments are accepted, and can guests pay directly on the device?

Aloha OrderPay supports EMV, swipe and NFC/contacless payments like ApplePay and Google Wallet. Guests can pay directly on the device using the "Check Presenter" view where staff can hand the device off to the customer. They can pay, tip and choose their receipt method all through an intuitive, kiosk-style interface.

How fast is Aloha OrderPay?

It’s built for speed. Restaurants using Aloha OrderPay report faster table turns and improved service efficiency. Its mobile-optimized interface streamlines key functions while preserving familiar Aloha order flows, helping staff move quickly and confidently.

Is training available for staff?

Yes. NCR Voyix provides personalized onboarding, online and in-person training, and access to a self-serve knowledge base for ongoing support.

How long does the battery last?

The device lasts up to 8 hours on a full charge. Plus, it charges fast—going from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes—so it’s ready when you need it.

Does it sync with other Aloha POS stations in real time?

Yes. Aloha OrderPay communicates with your Aloha POS system in real time, keeping orders and payments synced across devices. When an item is rung up but hasn’t yet synced, an orange dot appears—letting servers continue working while the POS updates in the background.

Is Aloha OrderPay secure and PCI Compliant, and can guests split checks or use multiple payment methods?

Yes. Aloha OrderPay is certified to the latest PCI V6 standards and uses secure architecture that keeps payment data separate from POS operations. Guests can split checks by seat, item or evenly and pay using numltiple methods.
