日本NCR 株式会社（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長：三ッ森隆司、以下日本NCR）は本日、カード支払専用コンパクトセルフレジ「NCR SelfServ™ Checkout Mini（セルフサーブチェックアウトミニ）」を、国内流通業向けに販売開始いたします。本機は従来機（1Bagタイプ）に比べ55％設置面積を削減できるため、多くの台数が導入でき、より早く多数のチェックアウトが行なえます。
セルフレジは、商品のバーコードの読み取り、袋詰め、精算までを買物客自身が行えるセルフサービス・システムです。本機は、17インチのタッチスクリーン、両面同時印字レシートプリンター、1面読み取り固定式バーコードスキャナー、カードリーダーなどで構成されます。買物客のクレジットや電子マネーによる決済比率が高まる中、セルフレジ導入企業のニーズに応えるため製品ラインアップを充実させました。本機は現金入出金モジュールが無いため、店内のカウンター等さまざまなスペースへ柔軟な設置が可能となります。
NCRのセルフレジは全世界では、既に22ヶ国、12業態、150社を超える企業に導入されています。また、国内ではスーパーマーケット、ホームセンター、ドラッグストアにて稼動中で、多くの買物客にご利用いただいております。厳しい経済環境の中、日本NCRは、顧客サービスをさらに向上させつつ、効率的な店舗運営を行なえる先進的なシステムの提供に注力してまいります。
なお、本日3月8日から11日の会期で開催される第27回流通情報システム総合展示会（リテールテックJAPAN2011、会場 東京ビッグサイト）当社ブースにて本セルフレジの展示をいたします。
