NCR RealPOS 23はレシートプリンターやディスプレイ等の主要な周辺機器をパワフルなベースボディに組み込んだコンパクトかつハイパフォーマンスな一体型のPOS端末です。本製品の販売対象は、小売業の各業態および飲食業をはじめとする幅広いサービス業などです。
NCR RealPOS 23は、販売員の操作性向上に注力しています。業界トップレベルの印刷速度を備えた高速プリンターは前面部から用紙交換可能な機構を採用しており、容易にレシートロールの交換が可能となります。オペレーター･ディスプレイは視認性が良く、かつ汚れや磨耗に強く、タッチパネル操作を中心とした環境に最適なアナログ静電容量方式を採用しています。LCDタイプのカスタマー・ディスプレイも簡単に追加でき、さまざまなグラフィック表示を利用しながら顧客満足の向上を実現します。
信頼性の向上を図るため、BootディスクをSSD（Solid State Drive）に変更したり、RAID構成のオプションサポートを追加することも可能です。また、停電時にも取引操作が可能な大容量の内蔵UPSを標準装備するなど、買物客に対するサービスの継続を支援する基本機能に関しても強化しました。
