NCRがアメリカ、イギリス、フランス、ドイツの4ヶ国で行った調査によると、空港も空港内の小売店も、旅行客に対するサービスを向上し、売上を更に伸ばしたいと考えているものの、実際には多くの場合で販売の機会を逃していることがわかりました。

また23%~35%もの旅行客が乗り継ぎ等の限られた時間内に、お目当てのお店やレストランを見つけることが難しいと感じています。毎年15億人もの旅行客がいることを考えると莫大な売上機会を損失していることが分かります。
