既存POSシステムとの接続を実現。セキュリティを確保し、店頭でのクレジット決済に対応

日本NCR株式会社（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長：諸星俊男）は、スマートフォンを使ったモバイルPOSを開発し、第1弾としてApple社のiPhone、iPod touch、iPad （注1）対応のシステムを本日より販売開始します。本システムは、汎用性の優れたモバイル端末採用による高い利便性を実現しつつ、日本クレジットカード協会（JCCA）のガイドラインに準拠した決済面での高いセキュリティー環境を確保しました。現金、クレジットカードでの決済取引を行う業種・業態全てのお客様にご利用いただけます。また、既存のデータベースから従業員データや商品データなどを取り込むことにより、既存のPOSシステムとも容易な接続を実現しました。
本システムの特徴は以下のとおりです。
- モバイルPOSとして利用
NCRモバイルPOSシステムは汎用モバイル端末（iPhone, iPod, iPad）を利用しPOSシステムを構築します。売り場を離れない接客を実現し、従来に増して高品質な顧客サービスを提供することができます。スキャンジャケットを利用したバーコードリーダー、モバイル端末に内蔵されたカメラによるバーコードの読み取り、あるいは商品コードの入力や、商品検索の結果 リストされた商品群からの選択によって商品登録が行えます。決済にはクレジットカードでの支払いを標準機能としていますが、付属機器との接続により、現金での支払いや商品券等での支払いにも対応しています。これらをサポートするためのネットワークレシート・プリンターやキャッシュドロワーも同時に用意されます。 - 待ち行列を減らす前捌きPOSとして
設置型POSでのレジ待ちの問題を解消する手段として、前捌きPOSとしての利用ができます。モバイルPOSで登録された商品情報をPOSシステムに転送し、POSでは決済のみを行うことで、設置型POSでのスループットを向上させることが可能です。手狭なスペース、限られたレジ台数でもスピーディーなチェックアウトを実現し、顧客の満足度を向上させることができます。 - この1台でクレジット決済を完結、ペーパーレスに
モバイルPOSのクレジットカード決済機能により、クレジットカード決済専用端末として利用することができます。POS端末で登録された取引金額を、モバイルへ転送させる、もしくはモバイルPOSに直接入力することで、クレジットカード決済が可能です。電子署名サービスと組み合わせることで、本端末単独でクレジットカード決済を完結させることができ、さらに、ペーパーレスを可能にします。 - 日本NCR はトータルサポートを提供
本システムはユーザーインターフェースを提供するWeb UI サーバと取引処理を行うストア・サーバから構成され、NCRのデータセンターを利用したクラウドサービスでの提供も行います。またモバイル端末管理（MDM）や保守サポートサービスも合わせてご利用いただけます。
今後、本システムは当社の提唱する「c-tailing ソリューション」の一つとして、顧客起点の重要なコンタクトポイントを担っていきます。機能面では、接触式ICカードや電子マネー等、決済方法の種類を増やすことを検討していきます。当ソリューションは、従来よりシステムを展開している流通業のみならず、モバイル決済を必要とする全ての業種・業態に積極的に展開していきます。
