日本NCR 株式会社（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長：諸星俊男、以下日本NCR）は、ホテル宿泊者がモバイル機器を使ってホテルのチェックイン及びルームキーの受け取りができる、セルフ・チェックイン端末『NCR Express Key』を開発しました。
ホテルの宿泊予約を専用のウェブサイトから行い、予約確認後に表示される二次元バーコードを『NCR Express Key』で読み取ることで予約の確認を行い、ルームキーを受け取ることができます。 バーコードは印刷されたものでも、モバイル機器の表示されたものでも読み取り可能です。また、NFC（Near Field Communication）（注1）機能を搭載した携帯機器への対応も計画しています。
『NCR Express Key』は小型かつ省スペースを実現しており、フロントスペースに限りがある場所でも、フロントデスク上などの設置により、既存設備への影響なく設置することが可能です。 NCRのAdvanced check-inのアプリケーションにより、チェックイン時には予約内容を、チェックアウト後に清算レシート情報を指定されたメールアドレスに自動配信することができます。また、オプションのサイドカーにパスポートリーダーと両面印字プリンターを搭載することで、パスポート情報の収集やレシート等の印字も可能です。
今回、「第41回国際ホテル・レストランショー」では、従来のNCR Hotel Kiosk 及びNCR Express Key のデモンストレーションやNCR Hotel Kiosk のユーザー様のビデオ、そして、NCR Express Key の利用シーンを想定 したビデオもご覧にいただけます。
