日本NCR 株式会社(本社:東京都中央区、代表取締役社長:諸星俊男、以下日本NCR)は、本日、セルフレジ(注1)とPOS を容易に切り替えて使える「NCR SelfServ™ Checkout Convertible(セルフサーブチェックアウト コンバーチブル)」を、国内小売業向けに販売開始いたします。本モデルによって、従業員の効率的な配置、店舗オペレーションの最適化が図れます。
セルフレジを店舗の混み具合に応じて自由にPOSモード、セルフモードに自由に切り替えることが可能です。POSモードの場合は暗証番号入力装置の向きを変え、お客様がクレジットカードの暗証番号入力を行えるようにします。
本モデルは、15インチタッチディスプレイ、両面サーマル・レシート・プリンター、2面読み取り固定式バーコードスキャナー、現金モジュール、自走式カードリーダー、暗証番号入力装置で構成されます。
店舗の繁忙/閑散に応じて、セルフレジ/POSの切り替えが簡単に行えるため、一歩進んだ顧客サービスが可能となります。
NCR のセルフレジは全世界で既に25 ヶ国、150社を超える企業に10万台以上導入されています。本年度、日本国内では導入10周年を迎え、既に多くのスーパーマーケット、ホームセンター、ドラッグストアでお客様にご利用いただいております。日本NCRは、今後も顧客サービスをさらに向上させつつ、効率的な店舗運営を行なえる先進的なシステムの提供に注力してまいります。
