日本NCR（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長兼CEO：諸星俊男、以下日本NCR）は、インテリジェント高速スキャナー「NCR iTRAN ImageTrac（アイトラン・イメージトラック）シリーズ5」を中核とする、各種データ入力や仕分け作業の業務効率化を実現する統合事務集中ソリューションを、株式会社武蔵野銀行（本店：埼玉県さいたま市、以下「武蔵野銀行」）へ導入しました。
武蔵野銀行は支店の事務作業を集約しその余力を営業強化に充てる目的で、「新事務センター」を開設しました。この事務センターへのNCR iTRAN ImageTrac シリーズ5 の導入により、事務集中部門における各種データ入力や書類の仕分け作業の自動化を推進しました。従来は業務毎に人員を配置していましたが、このソリューション導入後は処理プロセス毎に人員配置ができるようになり、およそ30％の人員削減効果となりました。これにより発生した余剰人員は、少量で煩雑な業務を担う「事務サポートセンター」に配置転換すること で、より有効な人材活用を図っています。
本ソリューションの中核となるNCR iTRAN ImageTrac は、書類の読み取り、画像撮影、仕分け（分類）を高速で処理し、さらに書類識別、文字認識、バーコード読取、数字・バーコード印刷を行う機能を装備したインテリジェント高速スキャナーです。銀行、保険会社、カード会社、運輸会社等、大量の文書を扱う企業内で発生する紙文書や外部から集まってくるあらゆる書類をイメージ化、文字を認識することによって、各種書類の確認、データ入力、データ修正、検索、照会等の事務合理化に貢献しています。
