日本NCR株式会社(本社:東京都中央区、代表取締役社長兼CEO:諸星俊男、以下日本NCR)は、日本NCRの提供する決済アプリケーション「NCR RES-ePayment for J-Mups※1(エヌシーアール・アールイーエス・イーペイメント・フォー・ジェイマップス)」が、株式会社良品計画(本社:東京都豊島区、代表取締役社長:金井政明、以下 良品計画)に導入されたことを発表しました。2014年11月より無印良品 有楽町店で25台が稼動しており、同年12月には新宿店など4店舗に導入予定※2です。
この「NCR RES-ePayment for J-Mups」が搭載されたNCRのPOSターミナルに、電子マネーのリーダライターを接続することによって、Suicaなどの交通系電子マネーでの支払いが可能になります。このアプリケーションにより、店舗ではPOS接続の設計・構築の手間が省け、開発コストを抑えられます。「J-Mups」は、クラウド上に決済アプリケーションを集約し、加盟店から閉域ネットワーク、もしくはインターネット経由で決済できる仕組みです。
「NCR RES-ePayment for J-Mups」の導入により、無印良品の店舗でSuicaなどの交通系電子マネーでスピーディーなお支払いが可能になり、混雑時のレジ待ち時間が短くなることが期待できます。また、レジでの店舗スタッフの業務も効率化することができます。日本NCRは、これからもレジでの業務効率化や顧客満足度の向上を目指すソリューションの提供をしていきます。
