日本NCR株式会社（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長：小原 琢哉、以下日本NCR）は本日、株式会社NTTデータ（以下NTTデータ）と協業し、新たな接続方式によるPOS決済システム簡易化インターフェース(以下I/F)を構築したことを発表しました。
キャッシュレス化が急速に発展する中、2018年クレジットカード取引におけるセキュリティ対策強化を定めた改正割賦販売法を契機に、クレジット決済システムのニーズはPOSシステムを介さずにセンタ通信を行う「外回り」とPOSシステムを介する「内回り」の２つの方式が拡がっています。
こうした中、多くの店舗を有する大規模小売店を中心に「内回り」決済に要するPOSシステムの開発コストの増加が継続する一方、汎用的でシステム開発負担の小さい「外回り」方式では満足する取引速度が得られないという課題がありました。
簡易化I/Fによって「内回り」「外回り」双方の課題を解決し、生活者の個人情報の保護と安心安全な顧客体験を提供することが可能になりました。

NTTデータと日本NCRは今後も小売店舗のCX向上を支援し、顧客体験の向上を目指した共同販売を推進してまいります。
