Ken Richard, Vice President and General Manager, NCR Global Channels, Recognized as 2018 CRN® Channel Chief

ATLANTA, February 12, 2018 – NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), a global leader in omni-channel solutions, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Vice President and General Manager of NCR Global Channels, Ken Richard, to its prestigious list of 2018 Channel Chiefs. The executives on this annual list represent top leaders in the IT channel who excel at driving growth and revenue in their organization through channel partners.

CRN’s Channel Chief honorees are selected on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community, and strategies for driving future growth and innovation.

Ken has been driving a growth strategy for NCR’s channel business since his appointment in January 2017, with the launch of an expanded channel program to grow existing partners, significantly increase NCR’s partner community across the Banking, Retail and Hospitality industries and open new geographies to deepen market penetration.

“This recognition is well deserved,” said Dan Campbell, Executive Vice President, NCR Global Sales. “Ken is driving transformational change to grow the channel and deliver exceptional customer experiences through our channel partners. I’m excited about the future for our channel business.”

NCR’s enhanced Channel program allows channel partners to sell additional products – including Enterprise Software, Professional Services, Maintenance and Managed Services – to complement NCR core products. The program has three tiered levels – Advanced, Premier and Elite – and rewards channel partners not only based on volume of sales, but other key criteria such as customer satisfaction, net new customers or product innovation.

“We’ve been working with NCR and Counterpoint for over a decade, but becoming an Elite Channel Partner as an omni-channel technology expert in 2017 has already had a massive impact on our organization” said Jason Burge, Chief Marketing Officer/Strategic Partnerships, Red Rook, an NCR Channel partner and recognized leader in providing omni-channel solutions for both online and in-store commerce. “With enhanced support from NCR, we’ve grown our omni-channel client base by 26% this year, and doubled the number of other NCR affiliates we’re engaging to help increase their productivity in retail commerce. It’s an exponential leap for all involved, and marks an exciting new era in our NCR relationship.”

The 2018 CRN Channel Chiefs list, including the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs, is featured online at www.crn.com/channelchiefs and will appear in the February 2018 issue of CRN.
