Landmark Bank Unveils First Video Teller in Missouri
Columbia, Mo., October 4, 2013 — Today, Landmark Bank unveiled a revolutionary new banking product designed to aid the consumer. Called simply the Video Teller, it’s the first of its kind in Missouri.
Landmark Bank introduced this new addition at a special morning ceremony today, at the Bank’s Stadium Boulevard location. Nick Kieffer, Landmark Bank Retail and Consumer Products Executive, spoke to a group of invited guests, customers and Bank representatives. “This is a special day”, he said, “and we’re proud to be the first in our state to offer this new technology to our customers.”
The event was commemorated by a ribbon cutting, conducted by the Columbia Chamber Ambassadors.
The Video Teller combines ATM-like technology with the same personal service customers have come to expect from a Landmark Bank teller. Working in real time from an off-site Columbia location, a teller interacts with the customer to handle the transaction. The customer doesn’t have to work the machine; they don’t even need an ATM card.
Andrew Beverley, Landmark Bank Senior Banking Executive-Missouri, added that “the technology offered by the Video Teller will help streamline transactions for our customers, but keeps live communication intact. That’s an important plus.” The new Video Teller service uses the APTRA Interactive Teller technology from NCR, which has installed units with more than 60 financial institutions in over 30 U.S. states.
This new technology allows the customer to cash checks, make deposits and payments withdraw cash and transfer funds. And should customers have more complex requests during this process, the teller is there to help them.
More than just a means for teller and customer to see each other, with the APTRA Interactive Teller, the virtual teller can take remote control of the ATM in order to actually transact with the customer—performing 95% of typical teller transactions.
Video Teller is safe, versatile, available after hours, and will extend the Bank’s services in more places and more times as new units are installed.
